Shin Hyun-young, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, pointed out during the National Assembly plenary session that Kwon's speech "blamed the previous government from beginning to end."
Spokesperson Shin said, "It was a speech solely focused on hiding the government's dysfunction by consistently attacking the Moon Jae-in administration. The government and ruling party have no measures for the economic crisis, and while telling people to fend for themselves amid the resurgence of COVID-19, they are only obsessed with tax cuts for the rich and deregulation of corporations. How can the public trust such a government and ruling party?"
He criticized, "The shameless speech that ignores the harsh judgment of the people and only blames the Moon Jae-in government highlights nothing but the government and ruling party's lack of measures and irresponsibility."
He continued, "The solutions are as wrong as the analysis of the causes. They spoke of economic freedom with a distorted view of labor and prioritized pro-business and anti-labor policies. It is also concerning that they try to project ideology onto diplomacy and security."
Spokesperson Shin said, "Just as President Yoon Seok-yeol's administration lacks vision, the solutions presented today by Representative Kwon will not be the answer to the future of the Republic of Korea and the livelihood economy."

However, he expressed welcome regarding legislative tasks such as additional cuts to the fuel tax. Spokesperson Shin said, "We welcome the willingness to participate in additional fuel tax cuts, support for workers' meal expenses, and the introduction of a delivery price linkage system, which the Democratic Party set as key legislative tasks through the Livelihood Priority Practice Group. We hope for cooperation to swiftly handle these in the July extraordinary session to fulfill our duty to the people."
