Geochang County Council Opens the 264th Extraordinary Session
Report on Key Military Administration Tasks, Preparation of Administrative Audit Plan, and Other Processes
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Geochang County Council in Gyeongnam opened the 264th extraordinary session in the main conference hall for a nine-day schedule from the 19th to the 27th.
At the plenary session, following the opening remarks by Chairman Lee Hong-hee, County Governor Koo In-mo, attending the first extraordinary session of the 9th Geochang County Council, introduced the senior officials.
Then, under Chairman Lee's guidance, the session decided the schedule for the 264th extraordinary session, listened to reports on major county administration tasks, formed special committees, established a special committee for the 2022 administrative affairs audit, and addressed the agenda to change the timing of the first regular session of 2022, concluding the first plenary session.
This extraordinary session is planned with one day for drafting the 2022 administrative affairs audit plan, three days for listening to reports on major county administration plans for 2022, and one day for reviewing ordinances and general agendas by the relevant standing committees.
According to the county council ordinance, the administrative affairs audit is held during the first regular session. Following the approved change in the timing of the first regular session, the administrative affairs audit is scheduled to be held at the first regular session in September, and the 2022 administrative affairs audit plan was drafted and approved.
Also, as this is the first practical session of the 9th county council, council officials explained that through listening to reports on major county administration plans, they intend to familiarize themselves with current county issues and major projects and respond promptly in future council activities.
In his opening remarks, Chairman Lee said, “Through the report on the executive branch’s major work plans, I hope you will clearly understand what the key issues of our county are and which projects require attention and promotion, so that it will greatly assist your future council activities.”
