[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Sacheon Maritime Police Station in Gyeongnam announced the 'Interest' level of the Safety Accident Risk Forecast System starting at noon on the 18th and is strengthening activities to prevent maritime safety accidents.
The Safety Accident Risk Forecast System is a system that informs the public of the risk when safety accidents are likely to occur or have occurred due to weather deterioration or natural disasters during specific periods in dangerous locations or zones along the coastal sea.
According to Sacheon Maritime Police, from the afternoon of the day, a heavy rain advisory was issued for the entire Gyeongnam area, and a preliminary storm warning was issued for the outer sea on the eastern side of Namhae.
The maritime police stated that until the weather advisories are lifted, they will strengthen patrols focusing on accident-prone areas such as local harbors, fishing ports, breakwaters, and rocky shores, and carry out activities to prevent marine accidents including casualties.
