Sancheong-gun Holds 25th Agent Orange Day Ceremony at National Sancheong Memorial Cemetery
Gyeongnam Veterans Association Holds Gathering and Memorial Ceremony for the Fallen
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held the 25th Agent Orange Day Commemorative Veterans' Association 'Meeting Place and Memorial Service for the Loyal Spirits' at the National Sancheong Memorial Park on the 18th.
The event, hosted by the Gyeongnam Branch of the Republic of Korea Agent Orange Veterans Association, was attended by about 600 members from local branches across the Gyeongnam region.
Also attending to commemorate Agent Orange Day together were Lee Seung-hwa, the county governor, Hwang Gyu-seung, president of the Veterans Association Central Committee, Kim Gil-rae, secretary general of the Central Committee, Bae Tae-mi, director of Sancheong Memorial Park, and Jang Jae-ho, head of the Sancheong County branch.
The attendees began with a visit to the Memorial Tower, then moved to the Memorial Hall for the memorial service and a tour of the burial grounds.
Before the main event, Governor Lee Seung-hwa held a separate meeting with about 30 members of the Sancheong County branch to encourage the members.

Governor Lee said, “We will continue to make efforts to improve the treatment and respect for veterans who suffered damages while protecting the country, like the Agent Orange Veterans Association, so that they do not face greater difficulties.”
