[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education has joined hands with local companies and universities to prevent the outflow of local talent.
On the 18th, the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education held the opening ceremony for the "Green Mobility Technology Education," one of the "Vocational Education Innovation District Projects," at Ulsan College of Science. Officials from the Ulsan Office of Education, Ulsan City Hall, and Ulsan College of Science attended the ceremony.
The Vocational Education Innovation District Project is a Ministry of Education public contest project that supports growth paths for vocational high schools, local companies, and local universities based on cooperation between the Office of Education and local governments.
The Office of Education and Ulsan City applied for the project in the local strategic specialized industry field of "Green Mobility" and were selected. According to the project, the Ulsan Office of Education conducted visiting briefings at five local industrial vocational high schools and initially selected 41 third-year students.
The Office of Education will provide education linked with the local university, Ulsan College of Science, for a total of 20 days from the 18th until August 12.
The main educational content includes ▲electric motors and inverters ▲industrial robot operation ▲secondary batteries ▲production automation equipment, focusing on field-centered education in the green mobility sector to nurture key local high school graduate talents.
Students participating in the technical education will be supported for employment in connection with excellent local companies and will receive support to continue growing even after graduation.
If graduates settle in Ulsan, they will receive a local settlement support fund of 400,000 KRW per month for six months.
The project budget is expected to receive 3 billion KRW from the Ministry of Education over three years, and from next year, the Ulsan Office of Education and Ulsan City will co-invest in the budget.
