Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Announces Korea Spatial Culture Awards Contest
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Institute of Architects are accepting applications for the Korea Spatial Culture Awards until the 29th of next month. This honor is given to individuals, organizations, and local governments that have contributed to the improvement of spatial culture. Six works will be selected based on the public role of the entries, original design, artistic value, and contribution to the establishment of regional culture. The Grand Prize (President's Award · 3 million KRW), Excellence Award (Prime Minister's Award · 2 million KRW), and Merit Award (Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award · 1 million KRW) will be presented at the Korea Architecture Culture Festival held at Daegu Culture and Arts Center on November 8. The Merit Award is divided into four categories: ▲ 'Dure Nanum,' which promotes communication between regions and generations and revitalizes resident communities ▲ 'Geori Madang,' which transforms streets and squares into good places through creative ideas ▲ 'Nuri Shimteo,' which harmonizes with the surrounding environment and provides resting places for residents ▲ 'Uri Sarang,' which preserves and utilizes our history and cultural resources to foster traditional culture and historical awareness.
