Korea Health Industry Development Institute, Recruiting GHKOL Expert Committee Members
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] The Korea Health Industry Development Institute announced on the 15th that it is recruiting international medical business (GHKOL) expert committee members who will provide regional and sector-specific consulting domestically and internationally to revitalize international medical business until the 29th of this month.
The recruitment targets are experts by sector and region related to international medical business. Applicants must have at least 7 years of experience in the relevant field or possess equivalent qualifications. The recruitment fields include jobs, commercialization, finance and investment, law and regulations, taxation, infrastructure, management support and patient attraction, medical ICT, promotion, and location analysis. The target regions are China, Asia, the Middle East, Russia, Mongolia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
Appointed as a GHKOL expert committee member, one will perform specialized consulting related to overseas medical advancement and foreign patient attraction, and be given priority opportunities to participate as a lecturer in international medical business strategy seminars and as an evaluation committee member. Notably, this time, according to the '2nd Comprehensive Plan for Supporting Overseas Medical Advancement and Foreign Patient Attraction,' the pool of expert committee members has been expanded beyond the existing overseas medical advancement field to include foreign patient attraction, medical ICT, promotion, and location analysis.
To participate in the GHKOL expert committee recruitment, applicants can download the application form and job performance plan from the KOHES website and send them to the GHKOL secretariat email by 6 p.m. on the 29th. The appointment period for this GHKOL expert committee member is until the end of June 2024.

Lee Ji-yeop, head of the Overseas Business Development Team at the institute, said, “Through this GHKOL expert committee recruitment, we plan to build an expert network covering the entire international medical business, including strategic countries and specialized fields for foreign patient attraction and overseas medical advancement.” He added, “We will strive to revitalize international medical business for domestic medical institutions and industries through demand-tailored consulting.”
