Moreover, the scenes where top-class musicians perform the film music provide the dual pleasure of enjoying the movie and appreciating the music simultaneously.
Especially at this Mosquito Net Film Music Concert, the audience will embark on a musical journey to Italy, France, the United States, and Hong Kong. The performances featuring guitar, haegeum, accordion, contrabass, and vocalists will move the audience. Attendees will enjoy films such as Il Postino, Cinema Paradiso, Comrades: Almost a Love Story, Black Orpheus, and The Scent of a Woman, along with the outstanding performances of Park Yoon-woo (guitarist), Dave Yoo (accordion), Song Mi-ho (contrabass), Go Su-jeong (haegeum), and Rust (vocal).
Monk Deokmun, chief priest of Hwaeomsa who hosted the 2nd Mosquito Net Film Music Concert, stated, "Hwaeomsa is now establishing itself as a temple that enjoys culture together. This journey is possible because of the practitioners who plan and prepare together and the public who empathize and participate. Based on religious teachings, we aim to cultivate the long-standing image of a cultural powerhouse here at Hwaeomsa, step by step," expressing his intention to hold the event.
The Mosquito Net Film Music Concert will begin at 7:30 PM and continue until 9:00 PM on August 6.
Meanwhile, Saseongam, a branch temple of Hwaeomsa (Chief Priest: Monk Wooseok), will hold its first film theater on the evening of August 27 at 7 PM.
Monk Wooseok, chief priest of Saseongam who prepared the first film theater, added, "As part of communication with the local community and public interest templestay, we invited multicultural families to experience, communicate, and understand Buddhist culture. We prepared this rare grand event with that purpose," sharing his thoughts.
