Hwasun-gun Accepting Applications for 'Low-Income Coal Briquette Assistance Project' Until the 19th of Next Month
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) announced on the 14th that it will accept applications for the 'Low-Income Coal Briquette Assistance Project' until the 19th of next month to alleviate the heating cost burden for low-income households.
The support targets households using coal briquettes for home heating (coal briquette boilers) as of the 1st of last month, including recipients of government aid, near-poverty groups, and marginalized groups.
Marginalized groups include single elderly persons aged 65 or older registered in the resident registry, persons with disabilities, children from single-parent families, and single-parent households with a median income below 52%.
Residents wishing to apply can visit the administrative welfare center in their registered address's eup or myeon to submit their application.
Those who were recipients last year must reapply this year to receive support.
The support amount will be determined after the coal briquette price is announced, and the issued coal briquette card can be used to purchase home-use coal briquettes until April 30 of next year.
A county official stated, "We expect that support for coal briquette purchase costs will alleviate the heating cost burden for low-income households during the winter and improve energy welfare," adding, "We will do our best to promote the program so that no eligible household is left out."
For more details, please contact the eup or myeon administrative welfare center or the Energy Industry Team of the Job Policy Office at the county office.
