SPC Samlip Leads Domestic Wheat Consumption Efforts
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] SPC Samlip announced on the 14th that it has launched a ‘Domestic Wheat Bakery 4 Types’ to promote the consumption of domestic wheat.
The new products were developed as part of the ‘Domestic Wheat Consumption Promotion Agreement’ signed with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in December last year, and planned as part of the ‘Smile Together Breadgeut’ project. They feature the use of domestic agricultural products such as domestic wheat flour, young barley, potatoes, and cheese as raw materials.
The lineup consists of ‘Young Barley Sweet Red Bean Hotteok,’ made with dough using domestic young barley and filled with sweet red bean paste; ‘Potato Cheese Pang,’ which offers a savory bread flavor using domestic potatoes and cheese; ‘Milk Butter Roll,’ characterized by its soft and moist taste with milk; and ‘Yuja Manju,’ which contains refreshing yuja for a fragrant flavor. These products are available nationwide at E-Mart and Nonghyup Hanaro Mart.

An SPC Samlip official stated, “In response to the rising international grain prices, we will strive to expand food self-sufficiency and food security through continuous domestic wheat supply.” He added, “We will continue to strengthen the domestic wheat bakery lineup to expand sales channels for domestic wheat and lead ESG management that coexists with farmers by continuously introducing new products using domestic agricultural products.”
