The Yellow Carpet installation campaign is a traffic safety initiative that marks the pedestrian signal waiting area at crosswalks in yellow to raise children’s awareness of traffic safety and improve drivers’ visibility, thereby preventing traffic accidents on school routes.
This year, DB Insurance received a list of schools without Yellow Carpets from the Ministry of Education and installed 30 ‘Sign Block Type Yellow Carpets,’ planning to install and maintain Yellow Carpets around more than 100 elementary schools nationwide and install 50 ‘Yellow Shelters.’
Additionally, to support underprivileged children, the company will sponsor program costs for 49 social welfare facilities nationwide and operate a Love Sharing Volunteer Group of planners who will visit institutions directly to carry out volunteer activities.
Since 2016, DB Insurance has selected the Yellow Carpet installation project as its flagship social contribution program to prevent traffic accidents involving children, a vulnerable group in traffic safety, as part of its core business-related social contribution programs and has been steadily supporting it.
