On this day, both parties announced plans to conclude the negotiations within this week.
Kim Jin-pyo, Speaker of the National Assembly, Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People Power Party, and Park Hong-geun, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, met for about an hour in the Speaker's office at the National Assembly on the afternoon of the 13th.
After the meeting, Floor Leader Kwon told reporters, "We are in the process of narrowing down opinions through discussions," adding, "We plan to conclude the negotiations on the organization of the National Assembly within this week if possible."
Regarding specific details, he refrained from elaborating, saying, "I will speak once everything is settled comprehensively."
Floor Leader Park also explained, "We have continuously held discussions to finalize the organization of the National Assembly by Constitution Day," adding, "We are continuing detailed discussions."
