Gangwon-do Appoints Former National Assembly Policy Advisor Kim Yong-gyun as New Spokesperson

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province appoints Kim Yong-gyun, former National Assembly policy advisor, as the new spokesperson.
Gangwon Province announced on the 13th, "With the launch of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province scheduled for June next year, considering the need to respond to rapidly changing policy environments and the growing importance of provincial government publicity, we decided to operate the spokesperson position as an open position and selected the best candidate through internal and external recruitment."
Kim Yong-gyun, the newly appointed spokesperson, is reported to be a figure who best understands Governor Kim Jin-tae's administrative philosophy, having served as a policy advisor during Governor Kim's time as a member of the National Assembly.
Additionally, he has long supported lawmakers from Gangwon Province and has served as a research committee member of the 20th Presidential Transition Committee's Economic Subcommittee 2 and as a full-time advisor to the New Gangwon Province Preparation Committee.
Spokesperson nominee Kim is from Chuncheon and graduated from Chuncheon High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Political Science.
Governor Kim Jin-tae plans to officially appoint Kim as the provincial spokesperson on the 14th.

Kim stated, "I will strive to fulfill my role as an active communication channel between the provincial government and residents," and added, "I will effectively promote provincial administration on livelihood issues that directly affect residents in the upcoming era of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province."
