Mirae Asset Life Insurance Unveils Non-Face-to-Face Innovation Hub 'Digital Lounge'
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Mirae Asset Life Insurance announced on the 12th that it will convert its existing Customer Plaza into a customer-oriented 'Digital Lounge' in line with the normalization of non-face-to-face financial transactions.
The Digital Lounge is an innovative space where visitors can freely experience the latest digital financial services without the constraints of an office environment. It opened simultaneously this month in major metropolitan cities nationwide, including Gangnam in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, and Daejeon.
Mirae Asset Life Insurance has been piloting video consultation booths in Seoul and Daejeon since December last year. As a result, customer satisfaction was very high, especially among middle-aged customers in their 40s to 60s.
While self-service devices such as kiosks can often feel unfamiliar and difficult for the elderly due to complicated operations, Mirae Asset Life Insurance’s video consultation window connects customers directly to a consultant by simply pressing the ‘Start Consultation’ button on the touch monitor, providing services in an environment as if the staff were right in front of them.
Unlike general unmanned stores, the Mirae Asset Life Insurance Digital Lounge has an info desk staffed with employees who guide customers through the video consultation service and promptly resolve any inconveniences.
In particular, a ‘Cyber Zone’ is set up on one side of the Digital Lounge to support digital vulnerable groups such as the elderly or disabled. If they have difficulty using digital devices, staff immediately explain how to use them at the customer’s level, enabling anyone to comfortably receive digital financial services.
The company emphasized that the Digital Lounge is an innovative space that consolidates the digital transformation (DX) that Mirae Asset Life Insurance has consistently pursued.
