The Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul announced on the 12th that they have booked and are investigating two male teenagers, aged 15 and 14, on charges of habitual theft.
They are accused of visiting 21 unmanned stores in the Gwanak-gu and Geumcheon-gu areas over two months, using a cutter to tear off payment terminals and stealing about 5 million won in cash.
It is reported that the police, who responded to a recent report, caught them near the victim stores.
The two, who have known each other since elementary school, reportedly stated during the police investigation that they committed the crimes because they needed pocket money.
