View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] Independent lawmaker Yang Hyang-ja, who left the Democratic Party of Korea, sharply criticized the decline in President Yoon Seok-yeol's approval ratings on the 10th, saying, "I believe the core reason is that the president is not acting professionally." Yang particularly emphasized, "Right now, President Yoon seems like someone who has achieved all the goals in life," adding, "Regime change and winning the presidency are merely means for the happiness of the people and national prosperity, not goals themselves. There is a mountain of work to be done."
Born in Gwangju, Yang joined Samsung Electronics as a high school graduate female employee and rose to the position of executive director. She currently serves as the chairperson of the People Power Party's Special Committee on Strengthening Competitiveness in the Semiconductor Industry.
On the same day, Yang wrote on Facebook, "When amateurs do something, they only need to enjoy themselves. Professionals risk their careers for those who trust and choose them. Which side is President Yoon on?" She added, "'Saying it's better than the Moon Jae-in administration' is something ruling party lawmakers should say to opposition lawmakers in TV debates," and continued, "It seems President Yoon wants to continue being evaluated comparatively, but that ended during the presidential election. The current low approval ratings are because the public has started absolute evaluation."
This appears to refer to President Yoon's remark on the 5th regarding the controversy over poor personnel appointments, where he retorted, "Have you seen such excellent ministers appointed by the previous administration?" Yang also said, "When you close your ears to criticism, the scolding only grows louder until you listen," urging, "Professionally, the president must disclose, gain agreement on, and devote himself to short-, medium-, and long-term plans in administration, economy, diplomacy, security, and education, which are his duties."

She went on, "Perhaps President Yoon became president because he was not professional. But now, he is losing trust because he is not acting like a president," adding, "The president must be a professional administrator, a professional economist, a professional commander-in-chief of the armed forces, and a professional politician."
