View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] The National Police Agency announced on the 10th that it will recruit experts in the field of security investigations in preparation for the transfer of counterintelligence investigation authority. According to the revision of the National Intelligence Service Act, the police will take over the counterintelligence investigation authority from the National Intelligence Service in January 2024.
This recruitment plan is part of a measure to strengthen expertise in security investigations by selecting a total of 121 outstanding talents in the security sector over three years starting last year. Experts in international security, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and economic security will be recruited. Last year, 43 experts in various fields were selected. Specifically, the recruitment includes ▲2 in international security ▲3 in economic security ▲3 in counterintelligence and counterterrorism ▲20 in cyber security ▲15 in foreign languages for security investigations.
This career recruitment by field will select a total of 10 candidates at the rank of Corporal. The recruitment targets those who have obtained a master's degree or higher in related majors from domestic or foreign accredited universities in the fields of ▲international security ▲counterintelligence and counterterrorism ▲economic security, or those who have a bachelor's degree or higher and at least two years of work experience in related fields. The selection process consists of the 1st practical (oral) test → 2nd physical, fitness, and aptitude tests → 3rd personality and aptitude test → 4th qualification review → 5th interview, followed by final selection.
