On the afternoon of the same day, Park posted on Facebook an article titled "Wishing for the daily recovery of the victims of the sexual violence case involving former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon," expressing these sentiments.
Park began by saying, "Two years ago today, a tragic event occurred in our society," adding, "The late Park Won-soon, former Seoul Mayor, who was accused of sexual crimes, passed away."
He continued, "After the incident, some supporters and fervent fandom of the deceased engaged in secondary harm by spreading personal information and rumors about the victim," and criticized, "Our party, which should eradicate power-based sexual crimes and protect victims, instead referred to the victim as a ‘complainant,’ causing further pain."
Park also pointed out, "How much has our party changed after two years?" noting, "Not long ago, Representative Park Wan-joo was expelled due to sexual violence, and Representative Choi Kang-wook was disciplined for sexual harassment remarks and concealing facts."
