InterContinental Hosts Private Docent Tour Program
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] The Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong announced that starting in July, it will exhibit the second series of "True Luxury with Art" artworks in the hotel’s first-floor lobby and offer a private docent tour program led by professional curators.
According to InterContinental on the 8th, visitors can appreciate masterpieces by masters such as Kim Chang-yeol and Kim Tae-ho alongside trendy works by contemporary artists. Every Wednesday and Friday from 3 PM to 6 PM, a chief curator from Start Art Korea will conduct a private docent tour program, professionally introducing the exhibited artworks in an easy-to-understand manner.
The second exhibition of True Luxury with Art includes preview works from Start Art Fair Seoul 2022 and contemporary pieces by verified emerging artists. Featured works include "Time" by Kian84, who expresses his unique artistic world beyond popular webtoons; "Merging in Dreamland" by Heo Seong-yoon, exploring the ambiguous boundary between self and world and depicting various unconscious impressions encountered in dreams on canvas; and "Untitled" and "Rainy Season" by Yoon Min-joo, who adapts natural objects at the cellular level and paints them. Also on display are "That Day" by Mignon, which reflects on the reasons for human existence and relationships, and "Secret Place for Daniela" by Gam Man-ji, which pictorially expresses the raw, unintended feelings.
