According to Golfweek in the U.S. on the 6th (Korean time), DeChambeau appeared on a podcast where the host asked, "Did you receive $125 million?" He replied, "I received a little more than that." He then said, "I can't disclose details," but admitted to receiving a large contract, saying, "Judging from the reports, it was very close." DeChambeau also revealed new information that his contract period with LIV Golf is 4 years and 6 months until 2026, and most of the money was paid upfront.

DeChambeau initially declared he would remain on the PGA Tour but changed his mind ahead of the second LIV Golf Invitational Series event. Although he finished tied for 10th in that tournament, he received $560,000. Dustin Johnson, who joined LIV Golf before DeChambeau, reportedly received $150 million (195.9 billion KRW), and Phil Mickelson (both USA) received $200 million (261.2 billion KRW).
