Naju-si to Operate 'Non-Face-to-Face Lifelong Education' Until October
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Han-hyuk] On the 6th, Naju City in Jeollanam-do announced that it will promote lifelong education titled "Stay-at-Home Live, Rediscovering the Wise Farm" to support the settlement of families of public institution employees in the innovation city and to revitalize urban-rural exchange.
The rural villages participating in the program deliver representative agricultural products to each household, and trainees develop and experience new cooking recipes under the guidance of cooking experts through the online video platform Zoom.
Trainees watch promotional videos introducing the village specialties, prides, and residents before practice and have time to interact with the rural villages.
Eight villages including Hwatap, Deoksil, Iseulchon, Dorae, Hongryeon, Uksil, Geumanhangeul, and Eco Wanggok participate in this program, supplying diverse and fresh agricultural ingredients.
Cooking practice sessions will be held twice a month until October for about 30 family members of public institution employees who pre-register through the Naju City Lifelong Learning Information Room website.
The developed recipes and promotional videos for each village will be posted on the city’s official YouTube channel to share the value of coexistence with local residents.
A city official said, “By utilizing healthy agricultural products, we will provide farmers with sales channels and income, and offer fresh leisure activity opportunities to innovation city residents. We will continue to strive to create a premium lifelong education city infrastructure and develop programs that satisfy learning opportunities for all citizens.”
