Child's Body Estimated Around 10 Years Old Found at Han River Estuary
Police: "Autopsy and Investigation Needed"
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] A body presumed to be that of a boy around 10 years old was found in the Han River estuary, and the police are investigating.
According to the Ilsan Western Police Station in Gyeonggi, around noon on the 5th, a body floating in the water was discovered in the Han River estuary in Gimpo City.
A fisherman was the first to find the body and reported it to a nearby Marine Corps unit. The military confirmed the body using surveillance equipment and notified the police. The discovered body is presumed to be a boy around 10 years old and was wearing only pants.
A police official explained, "There are no visible external injuries, but decomposition has progressed, so an autopsy and further investigation are necessary."
