Gwangju Main Customs Office Holds On-Site Communication Meeting with Yeosu Industrial Complex Petrochemical Industry
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the 5th, Gwangju Main Customs Office held a meeting with seven major companies in the Yeosu petrochemical industry to support the recovery of economic vitality and export-oriented industries.
The companies attending the meeting proposed expanding the countries that have signed the "AEO Mutual Recognition Agreement*" that allows preferential customs clearance procedures even abroad to strengthen export competitiveness, and improving customs goods management procedures considering the characteristics of petrochemical cargo.
Jung Seung-hwan, head of the main customs office, stated that he would actively review the various requests received from the company executives attending the meeting by discussing support measures for each issue and reflecting them in customs administration.
He also promised, "We will continuously identify trends and difficulties in the export field to utilize them for regulatory improvements, and share them with related ministries and export support organizations to ensure that the difficulties of companies are practically resolved."
