Lee Hak-su, Jeongeup Mayor, Emphasizes 'Livelihood, Citizen Communication, and Pledge Fulfillment' at First Executive Meeting
[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] On the 5th, Lee Hak-su, mayor of Jeongeup City, presided over the first video executive meeting of the 8th local government administration, emphasizing the importance of taking care of people's livelihoods and communicating with citizens, and ordered thorough efforts to fulfill campaign promises.
At the meeting, policies and visions for the 8th local government administration for a new Jeongeup, as well as directions for city administration, were shared, and plans for promoting campaign projects were discussed.
The city set the slogan for this administration as "Citizen-Centered, Leading Jeongeup" and presented five major indicators for the 8th local government administration: ▲ Prosperous Livelihood Economy ▲ Advanced City of Agriculture and Life ▲ Education and Culture Opening Dreams ▲ Safety and Clean Happiness Sharing ▲ Citizen Participation and Open Administration.
Mayor Lee explained that he conceived the five major indicators with a view to Jeongeup's future 100 years to restore the livelihood economy and lead uninterrupted development of Jeongeup, and asked for much cooperation and interest.
He also requested all departments to thoroughly review the legal grounds, feasibility, and budget securing plans for the 80 campaign promises across eight fields, and to promptly start administrative and financial activities to enable early implementation of the promises.
As the 9th Jeongeup City Council inauguration ceremony was held on the day, marking the start of full-fledged legislative activities, he also asked for friendly cooperation as partners for mutual growth with the common goal of realizing citizens' happiness.
With the summer vacation season approaching, he inspected citizen rest areas and sports facilities, including Jeongeupcheon Stream and Naejangsan Cultural Square, which are popular among citizens, and requested maintenance of facilities such as the camping site surroundings and Cheonsa Heroes.
In particular, to ensure convenience for citizens and tourists, he instructed to maintain traffic facilities such as flexible lane posts and to strengthen crackdowns and inspections on illegal garbage dumping, focusing more on environmental maintenance.
Along with this, he repeatedly urged to make every effort to prevent safety accidents by inspecting disaster-vulnerable facilities such as livestock barns and construction sites in advance in preparation for concentrated summer rains and typhoons, and by removing risk factors beforehand.
