Hyundai Motor Company Sold 340,534 Units Domestically and Internationally Last Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 1st that it sold a total of 340,534 vehicles worldwide last month, including 59,510 units domestically and 281,024 units overseas. Compared to the same period last year, domestic sales decreased by 13.0%, and overseas sales decreased by 2.5%.
In June, Hyundai sold 59,510 units in the domestic market, a 13.0% decrease compared to the same month last year. Sedans sold a total of 15,975 units, including 7,919 units of the Grandeur, 4,717 units of the Sonata, and 3,310 units of the Avante.
For RVs, a total of 20,006 units were sold, including 5,760 units of the Palisade, 2,913 units of the Santa Fe, 2,864 units of the Tucson, 1,507 units of the Ioniq 5, and 4,401 units of the Casper. The Porter recorded sales of 6,980 units, the Staria sold 2,451 units, and medium and large buses and trucks sold 2,890 units.
The premium brand Genesis sold a total of 11,208 units, including 2,456 units of the G90, 3,630 units of the G80, 1,745 units of the GV80, 2,219 units of the GV70, and 670 units of the GV60.
Overseas sales decreased by 2.5% compared to the same month last year, with 281,024 units sold.

A Hyundai Motor official stated, “Although management uncertainties continue due to semiconductor parts supply disruptions, we will minimize the impact of supply delays through flexible semiconductor allocation.” He added, “We will actively manage risks in each region and aim to expand market share and strengthen profitability through the launch of competitive new models and solid sales strategies.”
