[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Hong Kong on June 30 to attend the 25th anniversary ceremony of the return of Hong Kong's sovereignty (July 1), according to China's state-run CCTV.
According to CCTV, President Xi arrived in Hong Kong by high-speed train in the afternoon and will attend the 25th anniversary ceremony of the sovereignty return held on July 1.
This visit marks President Xi's first trip to Hong Kong in five years since attending the 20th anniversary ceremony of Hong Kong's sovereignty return in 2017.
