Gwangju Buk-gu Supports Job Creation for Social Enterprises
16 Newly Designated and Reassessed Social Enterprises
Support of Approximately 1.65 Billion KRW for Labor Costs and Social Insurance Premiums Until March 2023
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 30th that it has signed an agreement for a social enterprise job creation project to support the sustainable growth of social enterprises.
This project is being promoted to secure the self-reliance of social enterprises and provide stable jobs to vulnerable groups.
Accordingly, Buk-gu will support a total of approximately 1.65 billion KRW for labor costs, social insurance premiums, etc., until March next year for 16 (preliminary) social enterprises.
The supported enterprises will fulfill obligations such as employing the mandatory ratio of vulnerable groups, signing standard labor contracts, and managing the attendance of participating workers, while also participating in realizing social value.
Buk-gu plans to provide opportunities for re-participation to enterprises that excel in creating social value after the financial support period ends.
Director Moon In said, “I hope this project will be of some help to the management of social enterprises,” and added, “We will continue to spare no support for the sustainable growth of social enterprises.”
Meanwhile, Buk-gu is promoting various policies such as the ‘Public Institution Priority Purchase Disclosure System,’ ‘Social Economy Enterprise Experience Day,’ ‘Social Enterprise Product Market,’ and ‘Social Economy Festival’ to foster the independence of social enterprises and revitalize the social economy.
