Display Association, Establishes 'Job Matching Platform'
Display Job Fair Held from August 10 to 12
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Display Industry Association announced on the 30th that it has established a display job matching platform to alleviate the labor shortage in the display industry.
In collaboration with universities in Seoul, the metropolitan area, and those adjacent to the display industrial complex, the association plans to gather information on personnel from display-related departments or science and engineering fields interested in displays. Companies will be able to continuously browse information on outstanding talent. Companies can review candidates' resumes and propose interviews, while job seekers can view registered company information and apply for interviews.
From August 10 to 12, a "Display Job Fair" will be held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The fair will be held as a side event of K-Display, the largest domestic display exhibition. This year, the association will use the continuously operating online matching platform it established to connect talents in advance and conduct one-on-one in-depth interviews on-site during the job fair.
Recently, as competition for talent recruitment with other advanced industries such as semiconductors intensifies, the labor shortage is becoming increasingly severe. According to the association's labor supply and demand survey, the display industry aimed to hire 2,989 industrial workers through recruitment activities last year. However, the actual number of hires in the display industry last year was 2,775, and among them, 956 people, accounting for 34.4%, left early within one year.
