Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Provides 'Employment Chance' with Customized Support for 250 Youths
[Asia Economy (Bucheon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation has provided about 250 jobs through the 'Gyeonggi Youth Customized Employment Support Service' since May for young job seekers in the province.
The Gyeonggi Youth Customized Employment Support Program is a project that provides one-stop support such as employment competency enhancement education, employment counseling programs, mentoring by current employees, and recruitment briefings for young job seekers.
Each job seeker is assigned a dedicated youth career counselor with professional qualifications, who provides employment support in the participant's preferred method (face-to-face counseling, phone, KakaoTalk, Zoom, etc.).
The counselor acts as a partner for employment success by consulting with the young job seeker at least once every two weeks (at least 30 minutes per session).
Participants in the program receive support on how to write customized self-introduction letters tailored to the job they are applying for, with the help of self-introduction letter experts.
The foundation will accept additional applicants for the customized employment service starting in August. Additionally, it will recruit companies planning to hire youth aged 18 to 39 by December. The foundation plans to actively connect talented youth discovered through the customized employment support service with the applying companies. Companies applying can receive counseling on recruitment difficulties and online/offline consulting with professional counseling managers.
Jo Eun-joo, head of the foundation's Youth Employment Division, explained, "The foundation operates an integrated employment support service system including job fairs, interview allowances, and welfare points to provide professional and diverse youth employment support." She added, "Starting in the second half of the year, we are also promoting 'online employment support services' that provide online job training, artificial intelligence (AI) mock interviews, and mentoring by current employees."
