Seoul City Launches '#JaksimSam-il Gamdang Diary' Challenge on Instagram... Sugar Reduction Campaign
Recorded Sugars in Foods I Ate, 2,000 Participants Join Instagram Challenge for Prizes
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 29th that it will conduct the ‘#JaksimSam-il Gamdang Diary’ Instagram challenge to help form sugar-reduction eating habits through small daily practices.
The Seoul ‘#JaksimSam-il Gamdang Diary’ challenge will be held over three rounds within two months until August 20th, with participants uploading posts three times. Any interested citizen can participate. Participants need to post a total of three ‘Gamdang Diaries’ on Instagram, one during each of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods. The 1st period is until July 7th, the 2nd period is from July 17th to July 30th, and the 3rd period is from August 7th to August 20th. Uploading one Gamdang Diary per period, totaling three, qualifies participants for this Instagram challenge.
To write a Gamdang Diary, check the ‘sugar’ content in the nutritional information of processed foods consumed during the day, then upload a Gamdang Diary on your personal Instagram along with a photo of the nutritional information including the sugar content. Be sure to include the required hashtags (#SeoulSugarReduction #SeoulGamdangProject #GamdangDiary #NthGamdangDiary).
Among the final participants in the 3rd period, 2,000 people will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis to receive a 5,000 KRW cultural gift certificate as a prize. This challenge is part of the ‘Seoul Citizens Gamdang (Sugar Reduction) Project,’ designed to establish healthy eating habits through sugar reduction practices in daily life.
