The 'School Meal Service Operations Manual' will cover main topics such as ▲seasonal school meal service tasks ▲quality control of school meal ingredients ▲management of school meal operations ▲menu planning and approval ▲official document writing methods ▲NAIS and K-EduFine systems ▲hygiene and safety management.
To this end, a task force consisting of 12 members, including nutrition teachers and officials from the provincial education office, was formed. After three rounds of consultations and mutual reviews, the standardized school meal service manual will be distributed to all schools around September.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education expects that by publishing a manual necessary for school meal service sites and systematically organizing the roles and duties of nutrition teachers, it will greatly help new or less experienced teachers to perform meal service tasks stably.
