Gangneung-si Hosts Unique Exhibition 'Magic Art Museum Welcome, Imagination Plus'

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangneung City in Gangwon Province will hold a special exhibition for children and family visitors titled
Fifteen artists including Jeong Jeong-ju (video), Kim Ki-hoon (kinetic art), Son Eun-young (photography), and No Sang-jun (installation) will participate, showcasing various visual art genres such as painting, sculpture, photography, installation, and media art.
This exhibition, designed to allow children to easily and enjoyably experience contemporary art that highlights creativity and imagination, is themed around imagination and fantasy. It offers an interactive experience where visitors explore a fascinating art museum through various optical illusions and sculptures and complete missions.
Aligned with the concept of a museum, visitors can enjoy a visual experience in a story format where a magician (docent) guarding the museum and the visitors solve diverse and entertaining puzzles presented by the art.
A city official stated, "Through this exhibition, we hope to break the prejudice that contemporary art is difficult to understand and provide an opportunity to encounter contemporary art as a joyful playground for sharing aesthetic experiences."

Docent tours and experiential programs will be held three times daily at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m., with on-site registration on a first-come, first-served basis. The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and admission is free.
