[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Byeollae Administrative Welfare Center) announced on the 24th that the demolition of the illegal dog slaughterhouse located at 2263 Byeollae-dong has been completed.
According to the city, the Byeollae Administrative Welfare Center received a complaint about the illegal dog slaughterhouse on the 7th, and with the cooperation of the city's Agriculture and Livestock Support Division, the slaughterhouse operator was made to voluntarily demolish the facility.
Subsequently, on the 20th, the completion of the demolition of the illegal dog slaughterhouse was confirmed, and the city plans to manage the site to prevent recurrence of illegal activities.
Previously, the illegal dog slaughterhouse caused numerous complaints due to unauthorized occupation of national land, wastewater and foul odors, and negative impacts on animal welfare.
