Cheongam University Holds 4th Dream Growth Scholarship Award Ceremony
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Cheongam University announced on the 24th that the Jeollanam-do Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities Suncheon Branch held the 4th Dream Growth Scholarship Award Ceremony as a scholarship encouragement project to nurture the dreams of disabled university students attending Cheongam University.
The scholarship award ceremony was held the day before at the Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities, attended by about 35 officials including Kim Hyun-na, head of the Cheongam University Disabled Student Support Center, and the president of the Jeollanam-do Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities Suncheon Branch.
The Jeollanam-do Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities aims to contribute to respecting the human rights of disabled university students, promoting their rights, and supporting social career paths as partners of hope by ▲exchanging human resources and revitalizing education through mutual cooperation ▲operating a scholarship system for nominees recommended by the Jeollanam-do Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities Suncheon Branch ▲promoting mutual cooperation projects to expand employment and career opportunities for disabled university students. Through the "Dream Growth Scholarship," they provide scholarships annually to five disabled university students at Cheongam University from admission to graduation.
The Cheongam University Disabled Student Support Center supports disabled students admitted to the university on a one-on-one basis through an educational support personnel project, publishes booklets for disabled students to help them adapt well to their studies, and requests separate teaching and learning support from the professors in charge.
In 2020, a learning support room for disabled university students was opened to help students study in a comfortable space at all times.
