Gwangju Nambu Fire Station Provides Fire Safety Education Tailored to Foreign Exchange Students' Perspectives
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the 22nd, the Gwangju Southern Fire Station announced on the 23rd that it conducted fire safety education at Gwangju University for students studying abroad from the Philippines and other countries to promote fire prevention and awareness.
The fire safety education held that day was aimed at about 150 foreign students who may be vulnerable in disaster situations due to language and cultural differences. It covered ▲how to use and manage fire extinguishers ▲correct 119 emergency call procedures ▲evacuation methods during fires, providing easy-to-understand instructions on how to respond in emergencies.
In particular, the evacuation method using an emergency escape device that allows self-rescue in emergency situations and hands-on CPR training received great responses from the international students.
