"Better Consumption for the Earth" Lotte ON & Lotte Mart Conduct 'Reals Eco-Friendly Campaign'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Lotte ON and Lotte Mart are holding a special exhibition called "Small Steps for the Earth - Green Shopping in Daily Life" until the end of this month.
According to Lotte ON and Lotte Mart on the 22nd, this special exhibition is prepared as part of Lotte Shopping's integrated ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) campaign called "RE:EARTH," and it carries the meaning of creating a better Earth together with partners and customers. During the event period, eco-friendly packaged food, daily necessities, and recycled products will be gathered and introduced in one place.
First, various eco-friendly private brand (PB) products of Lotte Mart will be introduced and sold. Lotte Mart's eco-friendly products consider ways to benefit the Earth from the production process to sales and disposal, and such products are separately labeled as "RE:EARTH" for display.
Products made with eco-friendly materials include the "Bonafit Eco-friendly Eco Bag" made from jute, a plant known for its excellent carbon dioxide absorption, and the "Bonafit Umbrella" made from recycled plastic. In addition, various products that allow consumers to practice eco-friendly activities in daily life are introduced, such as the "Room by Home RE:EARTH Shopping Bag," "Room by Home Large Capacity Cooler Bag," "RE:EARTH Toothbrush," and "RE:EARTH Dental Floss."
Since the 15th, Lotte Mart has been running an event that provides 100 won carbon-neutral practice points per transaction to customers who receive electronic receipts. Customers who wish to participate in the event must sign up on the Carbon Neutral Practice Points website and activate the smart receipt issuance function on "Lotte Mart Go," an app exclusive to Lotte Mart offline stores. Accumulated points can be converted into cash in units of 1,000 points and used.
