Jin Air Launches Samsung Pay Mobile Boarding Pass Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Jin Air will start offering the Samsung Pay boarding pass service from the 20th, allowing passengers to store mobile boarding pass information in the Samsung Pay app.
This service is available to any adult customer using a device that supports Samsung Pay on Android 9 or higher. To use the service, after completing check-in through the Jin Air website or mobile application, select 'Samsung Pay' displayed on the screen, and the mobile boarding pass will be automatically stored in the Samsung Pay app. The stored boarding pass information can be used in the same way as the traditional paper boarding pass for airport use and boarding the aircraft.
Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of the Samsung Pay boarding pass service, Jin Air is holding an event for customers who use the service. Participation in the event is possible by following the instructions on the event page after completing the service usage. The event runs from the 21st until July 20th. Winners selected by lottery will receive prizes such as two round-trip domestic flight tickets, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, flight discount coupons, and free beverage coupons.
Jin Air explained, "By providing various ways to use mobile boarding passes through smartphones, we expect to enhance customer convenience."
