View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] Makers Union (CEO Lee Yong-jun) and KOICO (CEO Kim Sung-soo) announced on the 19th that they signed a comprehensive business agreement with the Association of State Offices of Korea (President Seo Young-ho, ASOK) on the 16th to successfully host the "1st International Virus and Bacteria Industry Expo" (VIBAC 2022).
According to this business agreement, the Association of State Offices of Korea will encourage companies from 19 U.S. states to participate in the International Virus and Bacteria Industry Expo and will hold investment briefings for companies participating in booths. The organizers will provide booths and promote joint marketing activities.
VIBAC 2022 will be held on July 18-19 at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul. About 100 domestic and international companies will participate in five sectors: diagnosis and quarantine (diagnostic equipment, quarantine equipment, etc.), microbial utilization F&D (health functional foods such as probiotics), pharmaceuticals and bio (vaccines, microbial antibiotics, etc.), microbiome (cosmetics), and R&D (including bio and gene analysis equipment).

ASOK is a foreign non-profit organization under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, established in 1989. It currently has Korean offices from 19 U.S. states including Oregon, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Washington as members, and carries out projects to promote economic exchanges such as investment, trade, culture, tourism, exchange, and technological cooperation between Korea and the U.S.
