The grand prize was awarded to "Light Falling on Jangbogo," a photo capturing the aurora at the Jangbogo Antarctic Research Station (Lee Chang-seop, Senior Researcher at the Korea Polar Research Institute). Additionally, three excellence awards and nine honorable mentions were selected.

The Polar Photo Contest is a program that selects outstanding works from photos taken in the Antarctic and Arctic regions. Since its inception in 2011, this year marks the 12th contest. A total of 580 photos were submitted this year, and the final winners were determined through expert judging and online popularity voting.
