Gwangju Fire Department: "Report Violations of Fire Truck Exclusive Zones via Safe Report"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Fire Safety Headquarters announced on the 16th that it is accepting reports of ‘illegal parking in fire truck exclusive zones’ through the Safety Report app.
The reporting targets are vehicles parked for more than 5 minutes in fire truck exclusive zones of apartment complexes with 100 or more households and dormitories that have applied for housing construction project approval or building permits since August 10, 2018.
The reporting criteria include ▲ stacking objects or parking in fire truck exclusive zones ▲ stacking objects or parking in front, rear, or both sides of the exclusive zones ▲ blocking entry to the exclusive zones.
Users can report by running the smartphone app ‘Ministry of the Interior and Safety Safety Report’ and attaching two or more photos taken at the same location with 5-minute intervals.
Once a report is received, the violation will be assessed, and if the conditions are met, a fine of 500,000 KRW will be imposed for the first violation and 1,000,000 KRW for repeated violations.
