Business Agreement for Mutual Academic Research and Collaboration on Baekje History and Culture

Hanseong Baekje Museum and the Institute of Humanities at Kyungpook National University will mutually cooperate in academic investigations and research on Baekje historical culture and written materials, including mokgan (wooden tablets). They will also exchange and support academic conferences, symposiums, lectures, and cultural events related to mokgan in East Asia, including Baekje, China, and Japan, and mutually support research materials, personnel, publications, facilities, and equipment for academic projects.
Hanseong Baekje Museum and the Institute of Humanities at Kyungpook National University have agreed to actively carry out exchange and cooperation projects. They aim to establish a network to share academic information related to the research results of Baekje culture centered on written characters. They will focus on jointly introducing Baekje culture in East Asia, centered on written materials such as the mokgan excavated from Mongchontoseong, which is being conducted by Hanseong Baekje Museum, to the public.
Yu Byeong-ha, director of Hanseong Baekje Museum, said, “With this academic exchange agreement with the Institute of Humanities at Kyungpook National University, we expect active academic communication regarding Baekje and other East Asian written materials.” He added, “Going forward, Hanseong Baekje Museum will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with various institutions related to Korean ancient history and archaeology.”
