Geumpa Foundation Donates 100 Million KRW Development Fund for 'Educational Environment Improvement' to Chosun University
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Geumpa Foundation, established by Umi Construction Co., Ltd., donated 100 million KRW in development funds to Chosun University for "nurturing future talents and improving the educational environment."
According to Chosun University on the 16th, the donation ceremony was attended by Min Youngdong, President of Chosun University; Kim Younggil, Vice President of Umi Construction; Lee Choonseok, Secretary General of the Geumpa Foundation; Kim Daehyun, Dean of the College of Engineering at Chosun University; Ko Pilju, Associate Dean of the College of Engineering; Kim Bongcheol, Director of External Cooperation; and Park Junyoung, Deputy Director of External Cooperation.
This donation was made as part of the Geumpa Foundation's social contribution efforts to support future generations, aiming to contribute to improving the educational environment for discovering and nurturing future talents.
Kim Younggil, Vice President of Umi Construction, said, "I hope this development fund donation will serve as an opportunity to support the nurturing of future talents demanded by the times," adding, "I expect that securing advanced learning spaces that can enhance learning efficiency will lead to the cultivation of many engineers who will lead the future."
President Min Youngdon said, "I am grateful to everyone for coming together to improve the students' reading rooms, which are both learning spaces and places where students spend long hours," and added, "We will spare no effort to ensure that regionally tailored future talents can contribute to society."
