[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Psychiatrist Dr. Oh Eun-young held a talk concert with employees at Hyundai Motor Company headquarters on the 16th. The employees shared their concerns about human relationships, family, and work.
According to the company, the event lasted about two hours starting at 10 a.m. Among over 1,300 publicly submitted stories, 374 were selected, and five representative questions were chosen to introduce the stories and find solutions together based on Dr. Oh's counseling. Including the 374 whose stories were selected, about 800 people attended the event on site.

The company explained that this event was organized to comfort employees who have been exhausted by disrupted relationships and changes in daily life due to COVID-19, while fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and empathy by sharing and resolving concerns related to workplace, family, and daily life. Employees who attended the event shared their worries across a wide range of areas including human relationships and communication, intergenerational conflicts in the workplace, personality types, work-life balance, and childcare.
Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun also participated. As the last questioner, Chairman Chung asked Dr. Oh about ways to bridge the generational gap, which has recently become a hot topic, and about desirable communication methods in workplaces that have both horizontal and hierarchical relationships.
Before the event ended, Chairman Chung said to the employees, "My job is to help all members work healthily and well," adding, "I will do whatever it takes so that you can have positive thoughts, achieve your goals, and also help the company succeed." He added, "My goal is for each of you to be happy and to be happy both at home and at the company."
