Live Commerce 'Live Show' Surpasses 20 Million Cumulative Viewers and 10 Million Visitors

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] CJ OnStyle announced on the 16th that its live commerce channel 'Live Show' has achieved a cumulative order amount of 100 billion KRW in about one year since its launch. Over the approximately one year since its launch, the cumulative number of views exceeded 20 million, and the number of visiting customers surpassed 10 million.
Last year, the average monthly order amount remained around 6 billion KRW, but this year it jumped to about 10 billion KRW. Last month's order amount and number of viewers each expanded to about twice the size compared to the same period last year. The number of broadcast notification requests, a measure of loyal customers and regular viewers, reached 150,000.
CJ OnStyle cited professional live broadcast content planning and production capabilities as the success factors of Live Show. CJ OnStyle's content commerce 'Butina Life' exceeded a total of 1 million views and a total order amount of 5 billion KRW within about three months of its launch. Butina Life conducts YouTube content introducing products for sale and live commerce linked to it. The marketing strategy linked to content had a positive impact, sometimes generating sales exceeding those of TV home shopping broadcasts. Last month, the eco-friendly detergent 'Blanc101' sales broadcast recorded about 700 million KRW in orders within one hour, the highest order amount ever on CJ OnStyle's live commerce channel. CJ OnStyle plans to gradually expand its proprietary content commerce IP based on the success of Butina Life.
Customer response is also high for planned programs that strengthen interactive customer communication, a distinctive feature of live broadcasts. CJ OnStyle's live commerce fashion specialty program 'Edge Show' exceeded 10 billion KRW in order amount in less than a year since its launch. The active communication between Shop Master Solji Lee, the show host, and regular viewers every weekday at 7 PM is a key factor in its popularity. The company explained, "Because interesting broadcasts with different concepts are conducted every weekday, many customers watch the broadcast even if they do not necessarily make a purchase."
