Woo Beom-gi, Mayor-elect of Jeonju, Begins Planning for the 8th Term of Civilian Administration

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Woo Beom-gi, the mayor-elect of Jeonju, has begun identifying key tasks and current statuses of Jeonju city to swiftly grasp issues and operate the 8th term of the local government with a sense of urgency.
The 40th Jeonju Mayor Transition Committee (Chairman Lee Ran-woo) announced on the 15th that Woo Beom-gi, the mayor-elect, attended a meeting at the conference room of the Korean Traditional Culture Center, where department heads reported on major tasks.
On the first day, the 13th, departments under the New Growth Social Solidarity Economy Bureau (7 divisions) reported, followed by the Planning and Coordination Bureau (8 divisions), Citizen Transportation Headquarters (5 divisions), and Urban Space Innovation Promotion Team (3 divisions) on the 14th.
On the third day, today, the Welfare and Environment Bureau (7 divisions), Ecological City Bureau (6 divisions), and City of Books Humanities Education Headquarters (5 divisions) provided their reports.
The transition committee plans to identify the current status of city administration and review major projects through these reports, then derive core tasks for the 8th term. This aims to enhance the feasibility of fulfilling Woo Beom-gi’s campaign promises.
The task reports will continue sequentially by each office and bureau until the 17th of this month.
Mayor-elect Woo Beom-gi said, “It is important to solidify and build the substance of the new government’s 8th term through the transition committee,” adding, “I ask everyone to cooperate during the transition process to unite efforts in creating a new Jeonju for the citizens.”
