The transition team responded to a citizen proposal submitted through the online communication channel 'Wishes to the Governor-elect of Gyeongnam' set up on the Gyeongsangnam-do official website.
As of noon on the 14th, the transition team had received 107 policy proposals, among which they responded to a citizen's request made on the 9th to stop the euthanasia of 30 abandoned dogs scheduled for that day by deciding to indefinitely suspend the euthanasia.
The Haman-gun Abandoned Animal Protection Center, located at the Agricultural Technology Center in Gaya-eup, Haman-gun, has reportedly carried out euthanasia of abandoned animals due to capacity limitations.

The transition team plans not only to suspend euthanasia but also to collaborate with animal protection organizations to increase the adoption rate of abandoned dogs.
In addition to this case, the team has responded to policy proposals regarding the protection of socially vulnerable groups' human rights, responses to population decline, expansion of tax revenue through job creation, and suggestions for utilizing coffee grounds to achieve carbon neutrality.
The transition team stated, “We will actively request cooperation from the relevant departments for each policy proposal, promptly respond to matters that can be answered immediately, and continuously manage those that are difficult to answer right away to reflect them as much as possible in future policies.”
On the provincial website, not only policy proposals but also ideas for the provincial government slogan and the use of the governor's official residence are pouring in.
According to the transition team, 66 ideas for the provincial government slogan and 28 ideas for the use of the governor's official residence have been submitted.
Regarding the use of the official residence, suggestions include using it as a youth cultural and arts complex space, a communication space, a citizen cultural and arts center, a shared park, and a conference room.
The transition team said, “We plan to select a slogan that centers on the 3.4 million residents and can promote the 8th term of the elected government as soon as the submission period ends on the 15th,” adding, “We will continue to accept policy proposals and ideas for the use of the governor's official residence for some time to gather more opinions from residents.”
