[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Sang-il, the mayor-elect of Yongin Special City, recently dismissed rumors related to the Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs and personnel of affiliated organizations as "all false."
On the 14th, Mayor-elect Lee stated, "There have been various rumors about the Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs recently, but they are all false," and emphasized, "I clearly state that I have never discussed any positions with anyone regarding personnel matters of the city and its affiliated organizations."
He added, "I think the rumors about personnel are stories made up by gossipers," and "Rumors are just rumors."

Meanwhile, Hwang Jun-gi, the chairman of the Yongin Special City mayoral transition committee, said at a meeting that day, "The transition committee will support Mayor Lee Sang-il to perform well through its best efforts until early July and then disband," and urged, "I ask the transition committee members and task force (TF) members to work selflessly."
