SK Rent-a-Car Expands Supply of ‘G-Smart Link’ to Yangpyeong County Office
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] SK Rent-a-Car announced on the 14th that it has signed an expanded supply contract for the comprehensive vehicle management solution exclusively for public institutions, ‘G-SmartLink,’ with Yangpyeong County Office.
G-SmartLink is a solution optimized for the usage environment of public institutions, developed based on SK Rent-a-Car’s proprietary technology, the comprehensive vehicle management solution ‘SmartLink.’ It provides various services necessary for vehicle operation and management based on real-time driving data. In particular, by integrating a cloud platform, it has established an advanced information protection environment, and in December last year, it was recognized for its high security by receiving the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA)’s SaaS sector ‘Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP)’ certification for the first time in the industry.
Under this contract, SK Rent-a-Car will install IoT terminals that collect driving information and vehicle status on a total of 357 work vehicles currently operated by Yangpyeong County Office, including 270 general vehicles and 87 special vehicles, and will officially provide the G-SmartLink solution.
Yangpyeong County Office has been operating 30 major work vehicles through G-SmartLink since January last year, and considering the high satisfaction of employees with G-SmartLink, it decided to expand the supply contract with SK Rent-a-Car. Along with this, it expanded outdoor parking areas and parking towers to create space for a total of 284 vehicles, and expanded infrastructure to enhance vehicle operation efficiency by improving the vehicle support office and electric vehicle charging facilities.
A representative of Yangpyeong County Office said, “Our county has the largest administrative area in the province, so we operate many work vehicles to quickly travel between regions. Previously, each department managed vehicles separately, which was cumbersome, but now with G-SmartLink, all vehicles can be managed in an integrated manner, greatly increasing work efficiency. We expect to provide high-quality administrative services to our residents.”
