Naju City Announces Public Contest for 8th Term Mayoral Administration Slogan... Submissions Accepted Until the 21st

[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do, has launched a public contest for citizens to set the goals and policies of the 8th term of the elected municipal administration starting on the 1st of next month.

On the 13th, the city announced that it will hold a contest for all citizens, including public officials and employees within the jurisdiction, to submit concise phrases for the municipal administration goals and promotion strategies that encapsulate the philosophy and pledges of Mayor-elect Yoon Byeongtae and the future vision that Naju City aims for.

The municipal administration goal should be around 15 characters, and the promotion strategies for achieving the goal (4 to 5 items) should be around 8 to 10 characters each, with only one submission allowed per person.

Entries can be submitted by visiting the Planning and Budget Office at City Hall or via email or mail by 6 p.m. on the 21st.

The winning entries will be selected through a review by the Naju Mayor Transition Committee and awarded prizes.

The grand prize (1 person) will receive 500,000 KRW in Naju Love Gift Certificates, the excellence prize (1 person) 300,000 KRW, and the encouragement prize (2 persons) 100,000 KRW each.

Additionally, the winning phrases will be used in various promotional materials such as press releases and newsletters throughout the 4-year 8th term, and displayed on plaques at City Hall and administrative welfare centers in towns, townships, and neighborhoods.

A city official said, “Through this contest, we expect fresh phrases that will serve as indicators for the 8th term municipal administration and embody Naju’s future vision toward becoming a global small but strong city with a population of 200,000.”
