Launch of 'Expert Advisory Group' to Support Water Industry Development Based on Seoul Innovation Technology
City-Seoul Waterworks Authority, 1st Anniversary of Water Industry Innovation Technology R&D Project 'Water Industry Promotion Advisory Group Appointment Ceremony'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City will launch the ‘Water Industry Development Advisory Group’ (TF) on the 14th to support the growth of the ‘Water Industry Innovation Technology R&D Project,’ which discovers customized innovative technologies applicable to the Seoul Water Reuse Center.
Seoul City and the Seoul Water Reuse Corporation announced that they will hold the 'Water Industry Development Advisory Group Appointment Ceremony' at the large conference room of the Seosomun 2 Building, Seoul City Hall, marking the first anniversary of the ‘Water Industry Innovation Technology R&D Project.’ The ‘Water Industry Development Advisory Group’ (TF) consists of 16 private experts recommended by related organizations in the water industry sector. They will be active for one year starting from the 14th and will operate freely in the form of full meetings or small group meetings by topic.
The ‘Water Industry Development Advisory Group’ will evaluate the technology demonstration results of the seven companies selected for the ‘Water Industry Innovation Technology R&D Project’ and provide technical advice as well as consulting on commercialization and market development to help strengthen the competitiveness of water companies.
Seoul City explained that through the operation of this advisory group, a system to support companies in the water industry throughout the entire cycle has been established. Previously, in addition to project funds for technology development, test-bed spaces within the Tancheon and Seonam Water Reuse Centers were provided for technology demonstration.
The seven demonstration companies selected last July are currently testing at the Tancheon and Seonam Water Reuse Centers with research projects such as developing high-efficiency, low-energy smart sedimentation technology and producing syngas using contaminants. Additionally, based on the accumulated data and know-how of the Seoul Water Reuse Facility Corporation’s Water Reuse Research Institute, the demonstration sites are being inspected and monitored to support the project.
